Russia’s consolidated budget tax collection rises 14% in Jan–May

NOVO-OGARYOVO, Moscow Region, Jun 26 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Tax Service collected 8.3 trillion rubles for the consolidated budget in January–May, a 14% year-on-year increase, Director Mikhail Mishustin told President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

“We saw quite a good dynamics of tax income at all levels of budget in January–May 2018. In particular, the consolidated budget (received) 1 trillion rubles more as compared with the first five months of 2017, 8.3 trillion rubles. The federal budget showed an 18.9% rise, or 4.4 trillion rubles,” Mishustin said.

Non-energy income grew 10%. Receipts of the profit tax increased by 12.5%, of value-added tax by 14%, the personal income tax by 12.9%.

The mineral extraction tax receipts rose 29.5%.

Mishustin said that the service will test a new tax on self-employed people, who will be taxed at 3%, in Moscow, the Moscow Region, the Kaluga Region and the republic of Tatarstan from January 1, 2019.

Mishustin also said that the percentage of ghost companies in Russia fell to 7.3% from 34.2% in 2016.
